Working for Yourself
Dedication
Once you set your mind to being on your own as an entrepreneur you'll become more self-motivated. You may not get it right the first time, but you have to keep trying. When you fall you have to get back up and keep trying. Most large companies today have started off as a small business.
Entrepreneurs have to avoid scams by getting knowledge; one way is by contacting the Better Business Bureau online.
Furthermore, when working for yourself you will need office equipment and office supplies. Also it's necessary to have: business card, flyers and/or brochures, and of course a website. Starting self-employment will cause you to worker harder than at a regular 9 - 5 job. But that's what it takes to become a success. Making a written log about all the ideas you have for your business is necessary. Also keeping a bookshelf of self-help books, small business books, and any knowledgeable books on self-employment and maintaining success are must-haves for all businesses.

Market/Sale Yourself
Being on a budget for your first year in business is normal. Most startup businesses won't show real profit until about the second or third year of being in business. Having a computer is important these days especially when running a company. Because you will need to check your website at least once a week, and some businesses get their business orders online.
Also a new company or home-based company will need the common office equipment, such as: printer, copier, fax, desk, general office supplies, small file keeper, and other stationary items. Having your own business will be a success if you apply the tools needed to maintain longevity. Keep the positivity and enthusiasm it's your own business. Whatever you put into it, will eventually come out of it. Which is success, knowledge, hard work, working smarter, strategies, long hours, fun, and dedication. And if there are trusted people who wants to help you with your business, accept the help offered to you. Finally, marketing should take up most of your schedule. Market your company 90% of the time; keep business cards in your hand and in your car when you're out-and-about.
