Having 15 minutes of sunshine daily on your scalp and hair will cause you to grow hair faster. Sunshine provides vitamin D for healthy hair care.

Hair conditioners that have protein as an ingredient will also help split ends in your hair. Another conditioner that will help split ends and hair growth is "Sea Moss & Marshmallow Root Herbal Leave-in Hair Milk."

Using hot oil treatments on the hair will help split ends as well. You can make your own hot oil treatments for your hair such as; olive oil, tea tree oil, vitamin E or almond oil. Start by rubbing a moderate amount of oil into your hair, and then put a shower cap on your head. After that, sit under a hair-dryer for about 15-35 minutes. Then rinse your hair with cool water and style as usual. A 'hot oil treatment' can be done every month, for better results of less split ends.
