How to Get Rid of Fears

Coping With Fears

Individuals may have fears for different reasons in life; some people may have fears of: marriage, love, old age, their future, financial lack, success, being independence, etc. When someone is trying to block out fearful thoughts in their mind, they may have to not entertain fear at any cost. Avoid entertaining fear in TV shows, news stories, and scary movies. People don't think that simple things like watching a television show based on fear will have an effect on their mind. There are shows that are based on fear for your entertainment such as: Fear Factor, Scare Tactics, Friday the 13th, Freddy vs. Jason, Horror movies, and some things dealing with Halloween. But many people can't stay away of fear based shows because it is a form of entertainment, although at the same time fear is being planted into their mind and Spirit.

Fear is an emotion that people think is normal but it is not normal to have fearful thoughts. Fear comes from a dark place, and our God in heaven doesn't permit use to have fear. God only wants His people to fear Him, because to fear God is to love God. And when we love God we will practice righteousness. [The fear of the Lord is to hate evil.] Proverbs 8:13

The moment you begin to have fear in your thoughts, try to replace it will joyful thoughts. Think of funny and humorous things that happened in your life or think of funny things that happened on a TV show. It's better for your mental health to think of joyful thoughts and meditate on them, instead of letting fear into your thoughts. Fear is usually an uneasy feeling in a person's mind that may make them feel hopeless, unworthy, alone, disconnect to God (the Creator), useless, doubtful, etc.

"But God" gives us joy, because the joy of the Lord is our strength. Avoid things that can bring fear into you by means of entertainment such as, Ouija boards and other dark sided activity.

Fear is a seed that can be planted in the thoughts which can grow, only if we allow it to.

FEAR = FALSE EVIDENCE APPEARING REAL

Verses of Scripture - Get Rid of Fearful Thoughts

God sent His son Jesus the Christ (our Lord) to save us from sins and sickness; fear is an emotion that is not from God. People can be cleansed by reading and acting on the word of the Holy Bible. Fear can be cleansed out of our minds with the cleansing of the Word of God (The Most High). Say to fear "you have no more residence over my mind and body; for the joy of the Lord is my strength."

  1. For God has not given us a Spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. (2 Timothy 1:7)
  2. Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand. (Isaiah 41:10)
  3. In God I have put my trust; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me? (Psalm 56:11)
  4. I sought the Lord, and He heard me, and delivered me from all my fears. (Psalm 34:4)
